This morning we celebrate Mr. Jim Martin, our Welding teacher and Career Academy Teacher of the Year! Jim has been an educator since 1988 and has touched the lives of thousands and thousands of children. Thank you for all you do, Jim!
Congratulations to Audrey Raveling, who took FIRST PLACE in the state of Iowa for the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Challenge! Audrey's idea and design to wash and sanitize fruit is up for national review! Well done Audrey!
Our AFJROTC Misty Cadets are in Sioux Falls competing today. Cadet Robles & our team came away with 1st place for inspection and another of our teams came away with 1st place in unarmed exhibition! More to come, stay tuned!!

Another wonderful 5th on 4th! Today we hosted our friends from Unity Elementary!
Due to the weather, Sioux City Community Schools will have a two-hour late start tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21. School will begin at the following times: Elementary School - 10:30 am; Middle School - 9:45 am; and High School - 9:55 am. Please note that tomorrow is a "B" Day for our middle and high schools.

Today our Auto Tech. students traveled to WITCC to take a look at their Auto programming. Students got to see some vintage wheels and experience the Dyno!
5th on 4th welcomes the Lynx from Loess Hills today! Northeast College and CF Industries are giving our kids lessons in Engineering and Robotics, along with our wonderful students and staff working health sciences, graphic design, and agriculture.

Another successful 5th on 4th! This week: Leeds Elementary Future Stars. Students learned about Agriculture, proper care for pets, plating skills and culinary, Pipetting and using a microscope to examine our locals waters!

Our Misty Cadets are hard at work getting ready for our Veteran's Day Ceremony at Sgt. Floyd Monument today at 11 am. If you can't make it, we have cadets guarding the monument all day. Stop up and Veterans, thank you for your service!
Our Junior Construction pathway students are using heavy equipment and placing trusses on our second project house. It doesn't get any more authentic than this!
