2nd graders have been learning about landforms in 2nd quarter. We love their focused creativity as they use their new knowledge to form their own! Check out this ongoing landform process before these projects make it home!

Here are just a few of our staff snowflakes that tried their hardest to make a building "white out" blizzard today. Next Friday, all staff and students can wear red and green to have even more fun for a holiday theme.

The EHS Chamber Choir came to Morningside STEM this week to share their talent and Madrigal magic! Our Eagles experienced such a magnificent and mesmerizing performance. If you have some time this weekend, families can also check them out this Saturday at 4:00 or 7:30 at Morningside Lutheran Church. It is a wonderful experience.

We love our Eagle Team! Our Mindful Mrs. Miller brought a creative and calming experience to our teachers this week at PD! It was a hit and can be used in classrooms and at home in five minutes, too! Grab a blank page, an old button, and a drawing tool to push it randomly around the page to see what creation you can do, too!
Have the most wonderful time with families Eagles, rest up, and know we will see you all soon!

5th Grade spent time developing and representing their goals (being kind, listening, and many more) during this week's Character Strong lessons.

Afternoon moments filled with movement and math.

Our Preschool friends were enjoying their create and taste efforts after making some class-made butter on National Butter Day!

Practicing our fact families while building our math fact fluency in 1st.

Students learned about Veterans Day today and continued to share their appreciation and its impact on them across the day.

5th grade showing off their focused and hard working efforts as they engage in their differentiated independent skills practice in literacy. We appreciate these efforts as they give their best daily.

Our Eagles can really move to a musical beat. Such Eagle Energy to end a great week!

The Great Shoe Giveaway was a huge success! A special thanks to all the volunteers from Redeemer for all their hard work to make this happen!

Morningside Eagles -- It's time for our October Eagle Hall of Fame announcement.

Don't forget that picture retakes are on Friday, November 3rd.

On November 7, you will see an option for the Sioux City School District public measure on your ballots. This measure will not cost you additional money, but it allows us to continue using the current 1 cent sales tax to support our schools through 2050.
Vote YES on November 7!

What a Red Ribbon Week filled with Eagles leading the charge to "Be kind to your mind and stay drug free!" So many events, drawings and connections made to why it's important to take care of personal well-being. Way to be Eagles that choose to "SOAR with" daily!

Due to the incoming weather, Harvest Festival is cancelled. Those who order pumpkins will still receive those at the end of the day on Thursday.

Sharing our compliments about SOARing classroom friends for how their actions mattered positively to other Eagles! What a great end of day class meeting!
