Our annual Morningside Colorathon fundraiser is underway, and we are so excited for another color-filled blastoff with our school community!

Our 5th Grade Eagles were excited for their 6th Grade transition visit to East Middle School today. Families are invited back this evening at 5:00 p.m. Stop by EMS and head to the big gym!

Hey Eagles --Tuesday, March 10th is our next "Get Energized Day!" Let’s SOAR, set goals, and get energized. Wear any bright colored shirt with joggers. Don’t forget to wear your wristbands and come ready to boost some E-N-E-R-G-Y!!!

Help us celebrate Dr. Seuss week and kick it off Monday, March 2nd with Cat in the Hat day and wear your favorite hat.

Hello Eagle families -- Thursday, February 26th is our next “Get Energized Day. ”

Wear red to boost energy, bright pink to improve mood and spark creativity, or yellow for empowerment. Don't forget to put on those wrist bands and headbands, too! We're excited to get energized and learn with you!

Miss Weaver, from the Sioux City Museum, came to first grade to talk about artifacts and timelines. Thank you for answering all our curious Eagle questions!

So many congratulations for Morningside's Teacher of the Year -- Cheraine Bromander! She gives her whole heart and more to help our Eagles SOAR! Please join us in celebrating this highest honor.

We have a couple big events happening next week. on Wednesday February 4th we will be celebrating the 100th day of school. We encourage students and staff to dress like the are 100 years old. Also on Friday February 6th the Morningside PTA will be hosting the annual Glow dance. Information about both dates will be sent home with students today.

Hello Eagle families -- Monday, January 26th is our next “Get Energized Day. ”

Get energized by wearing shades of turquoise or vibrant blue including cobalt, sapphire, ultramarine, royal, or azure. These colors are considered energizing because of their high saturation, which stimulates the mind, boosts creativity, and promotes a sense of rejuvenation. Eagle staff and students can all join in on the fun together! Don't forget to wear those wristbands, too!

Due to the extreme cold, there will be no school on Friday, January 23 in the Sioux City Community School District. Activities will be held as scheduled. Thank you. 

Our Eagles were energized to learn last week. We’re ready for another great week and the start of semester 2!

This week kindergarten built rollercoasters and talked about speed, forces, and gravity!

Our Eagles are closing out quarter 2 engaged and connected across our learning day.
