Eagle Energizer Days Have Begun!
This week we launched our first Eagle Energizer Day — a school-wide celebration of positivity, connection, and student encouragement. Each student received an Eagle Energizer sweatband to wear on Energizer Days throughout the year. Students may take their band home and return with it, or keep it at school if that’s easier.
On Eagle Energizer Days, our goal is to bring joy, belonging, movement, and encouragement to every hallway and classroom. Students and staff are invited to join the fun by wearing neon colors, sweatbands, and positive message T-shirts, and by lifting one another up through high-fives, fist bumps, and encouraging words.
These special days are designed to help every Eagle feel seen, connected, and supported as we SOAR together this school year. More Energizer Days will be scheduled in the months ahead — and we can’t wait to keep building this positive momentum!

5th Grade Eagles working with fraction strips--learning to add fractions with unlike denominators. Engaging in math via conceptual & hands-on methods....so meaningful!

We were able to visit and acknowledge the Eagletastic and SOARing efforts from our Pk-5 classrooms Friday. Way to close out strong in Quarter 1 Eagles--Let's get energized for Qtr 2!!! We're noticing those efforts to SOAR -- stickers galore!

Next week, October 27th, is the kick-off to Red Ribbon Week. We will be celebrating and having dress up days to show our support and share awareness of Red Ribbon Week.

Our first grade scientists enjoyed designing and creating their STEM Lego habitats this week! Such learning fun!

Congratulations to our Eagle Hall of Fame students!

Eagles in 1st at it again -- building those scientific and investigative skills while learning about seeds during a lima bean experiment.

Engaged Eagles connecting and learning across the day. Check out their focus during morning meeting, math, literacy and teacher PLC!

Engaged in ELA whole group literacy lessons in 5th with teacher modeling and embedded text annotations to integrate writing across the day.

Our 75-minute math block is on a roll. Teachers and students are finding their flow with differentiated instruction during whole group, small group and intentional partner-based tasks engaging in building fact fluency games and personalized iReady pathways.

A little science adding an energizing spark to our Eagles' day in a bio-mimicry way!

We had some happy smiles last week on hat day! Had to share!

Teachers and staff have been full of educator energy this year. Last week's PD launched with a 2nd Grade team-led connection time, a quick-paced game of hot potato, and a focused time together celebrating strong implementation of Benchmark Advance for literacy. This week at PLCs, teachers are digging into our next steps with small group math interventions through personal and direct experiences! What an Eagletastic team we have here at Mside STEM! True lead learners that keep on learning!

Reminder: Tomorrow October 3rd is school spirit day. Wear your orange and black.
Such fun -- Principals were invited to morning preschool connection time to share about our role in the school this past week. Such an energizing way to start to our SOARing Mside day!
